Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger Point Therapy is a form of therapeutic technique that focuses on releasing and treating trigger points, or tender spots in muscles. These points are usually areas where tension accumulates, forming small knots in the muscles that can cause pain, numbness, or referred pain to other parts of the body. Physiotherapists or therapists specializing in Trigger Point Therapy use various techniques such as pressure, massage, stretching, or acupressure to release and relieve these trigger points. This reduces pain, improves muscle mobility, and decreases the likelihood of these painful points recurring. This therapy is often used to treat muscle spasms, back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, or other areas of the body where trigger points occur.
